I am a 60 year old dual qualified medical lawyer specialising in clinical negligence and personal injury matters. My primary degrees are in biochemistry and medicine and I commenced by LLB when I was 35. Following graduation and serving 2 years of articles with Legal Aid I spent 10 years in practice as a medicolegal specialist lawyer with particular emphasis on clinical negligence. I have now been a medical negligence consultant for 6 years and provide guidance for law firms making the transition from PI to clin negl matters. I am a volunteer with the AvMA Helpline and am a member of the Medicolegal Society of Great Britain. My further post grad law qualifications are an LLM (DNA Forensics and the Law) , an LLD (HIV / AIDS Law and Policy) and a Certificate in Medicine and Law.
