I have a 1st class degree in Law from Jesus College, Cambridge. I have a thorough understanding of both legal principles and how to succeed in examinations. In tutoring, I am flexible to the needs of the tutee: happy to adapt a lesson plan to specific topics at their discretion. The general outline of a tutorial session would be to first ascertain areas of issue the tutee has with the topic. Encouraging a tutee to formulate questions can help understanding and enables the tutor to respond with more specific instruction. Secondly, I would start with the fundamental principles and ensure the tutee is comfortable before progressing to more difficult concepts. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I would encourage the tutee to understand where the marks are available within a topic and how to best answer exam questions.
