I graduated from Oxford University in summer of 2014 ranked 6th of 167 students in the 2:1 class in my year. Since then, I worked initially at Reprieve,a human rights charity, dealing with human rights violations occurring in the context of the 'war against terror'. During this time, I also worked part-time as a tutor with London Law Tutors, tutoring students via email and Skype. I focused mainly on administrative, family and land law. I learned to adapt to the needs of different students, to articulate complex ideas concisely, and to create lesson plans to use with my students. As well as providing lessons to students, I also marked practice essays and assisted with revision technique. Thereafter, I took a temporary role as a paralegal at GN Law in the Court of Protection & Community Care department. I also provided ad hoc support to the family law team. This enabled me to gain practical experience of the skills needed in a legal career, such as the ability to conduct legal research into unknown subjects and to articulate ideas clearly to clients. Having returned from a period of travelling around South America, I am currently working as a paralegal at Samsung Electronics European headquarters, My work focuses on data protection and intellectual property issues. I will be studying for my LPC next year at BPP Holborn and thereafter training as a solicitor with Bircham Dyson Bell. I am particularly interested in family and private client law. I enjoy tutoring as I like meeting students, discussing issues and hearing different viewpoints, and adapting to different individuals' needs. I am currently available to tutor on evenings and weekends but in the near future I will be available during weekdays as well.
