Ruth Barber

I was called to the bar in 1996, admitted as a solicitor in 1998 and became a higher rights advocate in 2005. I have worked as a criminal litigator and advocate for 15 years including at partnership level. I specialise in fraud and complex regulatory crime and have litigated against multinational companies. I have devised and delivered bespoke legal training programmes for my staff, boards of companies, and government departments. I co-wrote an academic text on Confiscation Law and have published numerous legal articles. I am a skilled advocate and public speaker. My teaching style is very engaging and interactive. I enjoy the law and try to use caselaw to make the subject entertaining.
