How Much Will I Earn?
Royalties in the publishing industry are typically 10% of sales price. As we completely electronically our overheads are much lower and so we can afford to offer authors 50% of the sales price, minus direct costs.
The best selling author last year made over £6000 in commissions in the past 9 months. The average author made a little under £400.
Your exact earnings depend on demand for your subject, how much the market likes your notes and also the time of year. Obviously your notes will sell more in the months preceding exam periods.
What Kind Of Sellers/Notes Are We Looking For?
Notes, Essays, Sample Answers, Mind Maps. We're looking for any sort of revision materials which would be of use to other students doing similar courses. Clarity, accuracy and good organisation of the subject matter is of key importance.
Typed Up Notes. We only accept electronic documents (any reasonably general format including Word, PDF, ODT).
No Lecture Handouts. Any lecture handouts or notes you receive are the intellectual property of your professor or your educational institution and you have no right to sell these on our website or any other for that matter. Oxbridge Notes is a marketplace for notes and essays you have compiled on your own , whether that be from readings of primary materials, readings of other texts or your own interpretation of other materials.
We Only Accept Notes Created In The Past 2 Years. We've found that our buyers have no interest in dated notes. If your dates were created 5 years ago then your notes will not be accepted.
A-Level, IB, Masters, PHD, LPC, GDL and Bar Exam materials. Oxbridge Notes accepts notes for all levels of exams.

Apply Before Our Capacity Is Filled
Limited Seller Capacity. We operate on a quality mediated first come first served basis to prevent overcrowding of sellers. From the customer's point of view having ten different sellers in each area is overwhelming and choosing between them would be a stressful task - something someone with an exam in twelve hours doesn't need. From the seller's point of view each additional student offering the same subjects dilutes individual earnings since the pie is shared between more people. Everyone wins if we keep the total number of sellers in each area relatively low. Thus if you think you'd like to be a seller on Oxbridge Notes it's advisable to apply as soon as possible.
Your Notes Become Less Valuable With Every Passing Day. You've an exam next Monday. If someone offered you a choice between notes created 2 months ago and notes created 2 years ago, which would you choose? Nearly all students say that they would choose the more recent notes. Your notes become less valuable to others, and less sellable by us, with every passing day. If you decide to sell them they will never be more valuable than they are today.
