This package contains: comprehensive exam notes on all aspects of the EU and three essays titled 'What accounts for the EU’s repeated decision to engage in Treaty change?', 'Can the European Commission still be characterised as a "motor of integration"?', and 'What accounts for the EU’s difficulty/inability to tackle crises? Answer with reference to two or more crises.' The note document includes: (1) political background, content and evaluation of all treaty reforms (e.g. The Maastricht Treaty, The Treaty of Lisbon); (2) structure and functions of EU institutions (e.g. the European Commission and the European Council). The notes on the European Commission include a timeline and notes on all Commission Presidents, and those on the European Council include notes on significant European Council meetings--very useful for understanding EU diplomacy; and (3) discussion of EU crisis management, including details on the Eurozone crisis, Refugee crisis and the rise of Euroscepticism. The author has graduated from the University of Cambridge with a triple first (first across all three years).
